He married (2) Catherine Evans Owen April 04, 1803 in Oglethorpe Co, GA, daughter of William Owen. She was born January 03, 1781 in Virginia, and died May 14, 1854 in Greene Co, GA. Catherine is buried in Penfield Cemetery, Greene Co, GA.

Julia Cheney (John) was born April 04, 1790 in South River, Anne Arundel Co, MD, and died 1882 in Clinton, Van Buren Co, AR. She married Humphrey J. Scroggin July 29, 1814 in Jones Co, GA. He was born December 16, 1794 in Oglethorpe Co, GA, and died October 10, 1861 in Conway Co, AR.
