Indenture made this 30th day of May 1812, between David Hogan of Dickson county, and Zebedee Hicks of the same county, for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and seventy-five dollars to him in hand paid by Hicks, for a tract of land contatining one hundred and fifty-two acres, beginning on William Nall's northeast corner, then south crossing Four Mile Creek of Jones Creek. In consideration of the military service performed by Isham Ferguson to the state of North Carolina, Warrant No. 4425, dated the 22nd day of December 1796, and entered on the 8th day of March 1809, by No. 3121, as an occupant claim, we have granted to William Nawl, assignee of Isham Ferguson, a tract of land containing one hundred acres, lying on the waters of Jones Creek, beginning on the north side of Four Mile Creek, to include his improvement. Surveyed the 5th day of Aguust 1808. Given under my hand this 28th day of March 1810. Willie Blount, Governor. Grant was registered on the 1st day of March 1816. James Walker, Register.
